Nathaniel R. Miller joined Caplin & Drysdale as an Associate in the firm’s Complex Litigation and Bankruptcy practice groups in 2019. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Miller practiced commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense at an international law firm in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Miller’s practice focuses on representing an array of clients, including individuals, corporations, and nonprofits, in all aspects of litigation at both the state and federal levels. In addition, he works to protect the rights and interests of creditors, tort claimants, and official creditors’ committees in mass tort bankruptcies.
Highlights
Mr. Miller earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. During law school, he interned for the Office of the White House Counsel, assisting on a variety of administrative, constitutional, and ethical issues. Mr. Miller also served as the Executive Editor of the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law and directed the Berkeley Law Workers’ Rights Clinic. In 2017 and 2018, Mr. Miller was named to the D.C. Bar's Capital Pro Bono High Honor Roll for completing over 100 hours of pro bono work and serving as a coordinator for Legal Aid Society's Generous Associates Campaign. Before attending law school, Mr. Miller taught 7th grade math and earned a Master of Arts in Education from Loyola Marymount University.
Mr. Miller is fluent in French and proficient in Spanish.
