Mr. Finch’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation and trial work. Since joining the firm in 1993, he has represented individuals, companies and creditors’ committees involved in a broad range of disputes including:
- Securities and financial fraud litigation (both the representation of plaintiffs and the defense of clients involved in securities enforcement proceedings)
- Bankruptcy, fraudulent transfer, and creditors’ rights litigation
- Personal injury and mass tort products liability litigation
- Insurance coverage litigation, copyright and intellectual property litigation, false advertising litigation, ERISA litigation, and contractual disputes between business executives and their current or former employers
Highlights
Mr. Finch has tried cases in state or federal court in eight states plus the District of Columbia involving matters ranging from single-plaintiff products liability actions to complex commercial disputes with billions of dollars at stake. He has successfully tried seven cases to conclusion where more than $100 million was in dispute.

- Speaker at the Infovest Investors’ Seminar in New York about potential avenues of recovery for individuals victimized by the Bernard Madoff Ponzi scheme
- Guest lecturer at the Georgetown and George Washington University law schools on issues relating to mass tort litigation and the differences between litigating in Article III v. Article I courts
