This panel will provide an overview of conservation easement and syndicated conservation easement transactions. The IRS and DOJ are scrutinizing these transactions because they perceive a significant tax compliance risk. We will discuss the various tools the IRS and DOJ are using to examine existing transactions and those involved in the transactions, as well as to deter future transactions.
