Mortimer Caplin Featured at Newseum Event Marking JFK's Assassination

Date: 11/25/2013

On the 50th anniversary of the death of President John F. Kennedy, Caplin & Drysdale's founder, Mortimer M. Caplin, was one of four featured panelists at the Newseum's Knight Studio for a discussion on the life, assassination, and legacy of President Kennedy.  As Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service during the President's administration, Mr. Caplin is one of only a handful of senior officials who remain to tell the tale of Camelot.  Mr. Caplin reflected on his experiences as a public servant and as a member of President Kennedy's cabinet.  The panel discussion was part of a book signing for Dean Owen's book "November 22, 1963: Reflections on the Life, Assassination, and Legacy of John F. Kennedy," in which Mr. Caplin is also featured.  A replay of the discussion will be posted shortly.  For more information on the Newseum's 50th anniversary coverage of President Kennedy's assassination, please visit the Newseum's website.
