Mort Caplin. This 95-year-old legend has: graced the cover of
Time; opened his own law firm, Caplin & Drysdale, 47 years ago; and celebrated his 90th birthday with Ted Kennedy in the Senate Caucus room. As IRS commissioner, he greeted the first and only president to visit IRS HQ (Pres. Kennedy in the photo he points out above) and helped retool the IRS. Not to mention, he still swims a mile each morning and comes in to work at his firm. We want to be like Mort when we grow up.
