Former IRS Commissioner Mortimer Caplin Celebrates 98th Birthday

Surrounded by family, friends, fellow attorneys, and support staff, Caplin & Drysdale's founding member, Mortimer M. Caplin, celebrated his 98th birthday on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Firm's Washington, D.C., office. The former IRS Commissioner under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson commented, "My good friend Daniel Schorr of NPR would say '98! It's just another milestone, not a stop sign.'"  In addition, this year, Caplin & Drysdale also celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking yet another huge milestone for Mortimer Caplin.
