Caplin & Drysdale Celebrates the Season of Giving

12.19.2018

To honor the season of giving, Caplin & Drysdale decided to celebrate two organizations this year with a holiday gift giving program and then a Caplin Cares for a Cause fundraiser.

Holiday Gift Giving Program
To continue Caplin & Drysdale's tradition of bringing holiday cheer to local children, the firm decided to partner with the Association of Legal Administrators to support Bright Beginnings by providing gifts for 25 children in the D.C. metro area. Established in 1990,  Bright Beginnings Inc. is a nonprofit organization that operates early childhood and family learning centers for children and families experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C. Bright Beginnings' dedication to their mission has driven them to pioneer the countries first home-based program reaching hundreds of additional Washingtonians living in shelters and transitional housing with the same high-quality family and educational support they would receive in one of Bright Beginnings' centers. Caplin Cares for a Cause Fundraiser
On December 14th, Caplin Cares for a Cause fundraiser brought in over $950 for District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH). Caplin & Drysdale was thrilled to support DASH, a local organization that gives survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their families safe housing and services so they can rebuild their lives. Founded in 2006 to address the seriously lacking amount of safe housing for survivors of domestic violence in Washington D.C., DASH's programs and services create a safe and supportive environment for survivors to heal and then find permanent housing. In 2017 alone DASH safely housed 323 individuals and provided 727 survivors with safe housing advocacy. To learn more about DASH, please visit their website.
